When looking for a pair of dive boots, there are three factors you should consider: 1) Are the boots tough enough for your style of diving, 2) are they comfortable, and 3) do they keep your feet warm? Boots come in two styles, high-tops and low-tops. There are also booties (socks) which warm water divers wear to protect their feet from rough or sharp surfaces and objects. Most dive boots have soles with rubber treads. If you do a lot of coast diving, a thick tread will be more comfortable and durable.
