The Sherwood Avid CQR3 bcd is the completely new and redesigned version of Sherwood?s industry leading buoyancy compensator that features the state of the art CQR3 weight release system. The new weight release system, offered by the company that invented the mechanical weight release system, offers larger handles that are set in a place to be more accessible while at the same time adding support from the back plate.

The bladder is made using heavy-duty 1000 Denier, urethane-backed nylon for extreme durability with an ergonomic design for comfort and stability in warm water coupled with the perfect amount of lift for colder temperate water temperatures. Proper fit is almost always assured with the use of a depth compensating cummerbund, adjustable shoulder straps and sternum strap.

Sherwood rounds out their list of features with a handful of conveniently placed D-rings, twin cylinder bands for a single tank, 2 zippered pockets designed for easy access, and a small custom pocket to stow your optional Akona Safety Sausage. The Avid is also ready to be customized to the diver?s preference being ready to incorporate the Akona BC Accessory Kit, or the Gemini Breathable Inflator.
