The Coral Sea

The Great Barrier Reef is considered one of seven natural wonders of the world.

The Coral Sea is comprised of the Great Barrier Reef and hundreds of small islands. The Great Barrier Reef is the largest living structure on Earth. The Coral Sea is four times the size of Great Britain. You can even see the Great Barrier Reef from space. It is home to 1,500+ species of fish that include Clownfish, Red-throat Emperor and Coral Trout. There are more than 2,000 species of plants around the islands of the Great Barrier Reef in the Coral Sea.

Mike Ball Dive Expeditions

The Coral Sea is renowned for its remote reefs with walls plunging thousands of metres, attracting exciting pelagic fish life. On Mike Ball’s Coral Sea expeditions we make the most of this natural abundance by offering opportunities to observe sharks up close. You will get near enough to admire these amazing creatures, from the glint of their silver sandpaper skin to the ampullae on their snouts, and be able to look right into their eyes as they swim past.
